Lorado Taft (1860-1936) was one of the most famous American sculptors of the 20th Century, whose works have become an integral part of Illinois' artistic and cultural landscape. From his birthplace in Elmwood, Illinois and his alma mater at the University of Illinois to the Midway Studios he created in Chicago, Taft's legacy and artistic footprint in Illinois still defines the cultural landscape of the communities he called home during his prolific and historic career. This documentary video, commissioned by the Elmwood Historical Society, examines the connection between Lorado Taft and his hometown of Elmwood.
